Here's When Ranveer Singh Starrer '83' Will Go On Floors And What The Prep Will Entail, Details Inside
Ranveer Singh, who has had a spectacular 2018 has an even more promising 2019 in store. He will be starting off the year with his upcoming film 'Gully Boy' which has already generated massive hype. Other than that, he has also begun prep for the ambitious sports film '83' where he will be essaying the role of former Indian cricket team captain and legend Kapil Dev. Now, some interesting details have surfaced about the project.
According to reports, director Kabir Khan who is helming the project has confirmed that the shoot for the film will begin from May and will continue till August. Most of this shoot will take place in London as the 1983 cricket world cup was held in England. He has also added that parts of the film will also be shot in India.
As for Ranveer's prep, Kabir revealed that it is rather fun and that they are following a boot camp format with three hours of training physically as well as learning skills. Moreover, to help him train all ex-cricketers including Kapil Dev and the squad from the 1983 world cup will chip in. Well, it looks like Ranveer has his work cut out for him for what he has himself confessed as one of the most challenging roles in his career.
In an interview, the 'Simmba' actor had admitted that the biggest challenge for him will be to get Kapil Dev's bowling action right, which is one of the most unique styles in world cricket. In the meantime, he is basking in the success of his latest release 'Simmba', which is breaking all kinds of box office records. Recently, the Rohit Shetty directorial blew past Rs 227 crore in India, and so defeating Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chennai Express' and becoming the highest grossing film for the director in India.
As for 'Gully Boy', it will see him in the role of an up and coming rapper where he will share screen space with Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz among many others. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'Gully Boy' is all set to release on February 14, 2019.
