'Uda Aida' trailer: The Neeru Bajwa and Tarsem Jassar starrer tells us that sometimes dreams come at a cost
Neeru Bajwa and Tarsem Jassar starrer ‘Uda Aida’ has been creating headlines right from the word go. Recently the makers of the movie presented the first poster look of it and now they have released the trailer of the film. Encapsulated in around three minutes, the trailer tells the tale of a family living in a village of Punjab, wherein the mother played by Neeru Bajwa is obsessed with the language English and wishes her child to be the master of same at any cost. Least did she know, the cost would be more sentimental than monetary.
The trailer opens with Neeru Bajwa trying to learn simple English phrases through an audio medium. Right from the beginning, the makers have established the fact about her obsession with the language. The twist comes when she decides to send her child to high profile English medium school and makes every effort possible to match the standards. However, when the child attempts to get painted in the hues of the new surroundings, he kind of gets detached from his family. There’s a scene in the trailer, where he asks his father to not drop him off to school, as he feels ashamed of him. The emotion thus touched is sure to tug at the heartstrings.
With artists like B.N. Sharma and Gurpreet Ghuggi, there’s a good punch of comedy packed in the movie. At the same hand, the comic timing of Tarsem Jassar and Neeru Bajwa is also on point to make you laugh. Having said that, there are also emotionally drenched sequences that perhaps every parent can relate to.
